One of the first things that come to mind for me when I think of summer is new clothes. As a child, new seasons = new clothes, so I associate the summer transition with clothes shopping. For this year, I was very fortunate to be able to work with PrettyLittleThing.us to put together a summer style haul of pieces that fit my style yet envoke the feeling of the hottest months of the year. These pieces were sent to me for free in exchange for my honest opinion, and all opinions stated here are indeed my own, of course. Now let’s get into the haul!
BLUSH CORDUROY BUCKLE FRONT PINAFORE DRESS (US $22.00 for a limited time)
I often go for dresses like this for their versatility and comfort, and I was not disappointed with this piece. The dress is well made; no loose threads, the buttons are attached securely and the buckles functioned perfectly. I am a US size 4 and 5’7″, and the dress hits at about mid-thigh, which is fine for me. The corduroy material is soft yet structured, which appealed to me immediately since it made the dress feel more luxurious. I absolutely loved this piece.
BASIC STONE ROLL SLEEVE CROP T-SHIRT (US $10.00)
I must admit that I love a good crop top. The Basic Stone Roll Sleeve Crop T-Shirt had instantly become one of my favorites because of how soft it is. It is silky and has a bit of stretch, but it’s not thin or stretched-out. The color is also gorgeous, as I hate buying pure white clothes and the off-white color still paired well with the rest of my wardrobe. I styled this shirt with the Pinafore dress and got so many compliments while wearing them together!
BLACK LOOP BACK SPORTS STRIPE JUMPSUIT (US $40.00)
Though this jumpsuit was absolutely gorgeous, it just wasn’t for me. I believe it was my fault that this piece didn’t work for me. When I opened it, it looked a little long, and when I tried it on my concerns were confirmed. I think it may run a little large, so just words of advice there. Otherwise, this piece is fabulous. Soft yet structured fabric, clean seams, and very easy to get into, I still recommend this piece for those of you who can do a better job than me at picking your correct size!
GREY MARL JERSEY OFF THE SHOULDER T-SHIRT (US $22.00)
Last but not least, I wanted to try something long sleeve but light enough for summer (anyone else literally freezing no matter the temperature outside? Just me? Ok.). This airy t-shirt hit all the right points for me. It’s light but not thin, so you can pair it with a tank or bralette underneath and not sweat to death! It’s not quite a crop top (with the sleeves off the shoulder at least) but you can gather the front of the back with a hair tie and it definitely works as a crop. I really love the construction and feel of this piece.
If you liked these pieces, I urge you to go check out the tops, dresses, and rompers/jumpsuit categories, where you’ll find loads more styles to choose from! I’d like to thank PrettyLittleThings.us for allowing me to review their clothing for you guys. I really enjoyed what they sent me and would totally recommend all my readers to check out their online store for more summer fashion inspiration! What piece did you guys like the most?
