GRWM Playlist of the Week – March 5th, 2017
This week’s playlist is coming to you with some kind of theme, though I’m not exactly sure what the theme is. Hilariously, after I made the list I realized all the songs start with a B, are hip-hop-centered, and have a feature. It was totally unintentional, I promise (maybe I just like listening to trap music while I’m putting on my makeup lol). Anyway, I’ve taken to calling this list “The Battle of the B’s” because I’m corny like that. Let’s look at this week’s list:
1. Both – Gucci Mane ft. Drake (The Return of East Atlanta Santa)
Fiyaaaa. I heard this one on the radio sometime last week and immediately downloaded it. It didn’t take much because I love me some Drake. MCM alllll day lol. The beat is bangin’!
2. Bad Boyz – Shyne ft. Barrington Levy (Shyne)
I think I saw a Facebook post that featured this song and it reminded me of Save The Last Dance for some reason and I was nostalgic so I downloaded it and played it 15 times. Not ashamed xD.
3. Bust No Moves ft. Cuz – Run The Jewels (Bust No Moves)
This song was played at the end of Fresh Dressed, a documentary that is currently on Netflix. I love the beat of this song, and the documentary was excellent if you’re into hip-hop culture like I am.
4. Bounce Back ft. Eminem- Big Sean (I Decided.)
I was so excited to listen to Big Sean’s new album when it came out last month. I think he’s a really underrated rapper and this song is one of my favorites from the entire album. And of course Eminem’s rhymes are ridiculous but what did you expect from the Slim Shady?
5. Bad and Boujee ft. Lil Uzi Vert
This one is a bit of a guilty pleasure. I know it’s overplayed both on the radio and off but because I don’t really listen to the radio or watch cable television, I got to this one a little late. Honestly, I just love their music for the beats, and I’m not ashamed to say it!
What songs were you playing on repeat this week? Let me know in the comments below!
