Villa Mosconi is a family-run restaurant located in the heart of New York City’s historic Greenwich Village. The restaurant has been serving the same great food under the guidance of the Mosconi family since 1976 at the same location on MacDougal Street between Bleecker and West Houston streets.
The restaurant offers superb authentic Northern Italian cuisine that reflects the family’s origins in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel like a part of the family whether you are among their regular neighborhood patrons or a first time visitor.
Their three dining rooms (including the Four Season Garden) offer the perfect setting for any dining occasion. Whether you are seeking accommodations for a romantic evening out, a family gathering, business dinners, birthdays, anniversaries or any other celebratory function Villa Mosconi offers the perfect menu options and setting.

Our family of four visited based on a recommendation from a local and were not disappointed. The setting and decor were what we hoped for from an Italian restaurant in the city. There were several large groups and regulars and seemingly everyone was greeted with a hug from the owners and staff. The service was excellent and the meal was delicious. We will definitely visit again next time in NYC.TripAdvisor
My boyfriend and I were in New York City visiting for 3 days. We ate here on our last night and it was perfection!! From the ambience to the staff, and most importantly the food, It was a delightful evening. The waiters were super professional and kind. Roger took care of us and treated us like family. Prices were much more reasonable than other restaurants in Manhattan and the food was exquisite!! I highly recommend the eggplant parmesan. I will put Villa Mosconi on my list of places to return on my next NYC visitYelp
It was Christmas Eve, yesterday, and this year I didn’t prepare my usual Italian-American extravaganza of the seven fishes. We decided on Villa Mosconi, remembering the time we took my parents there for an anniversary: The atmosphere there was delightfully festive and calm at the same time; the waiters were professional and attentive; the food was fresh and artfully prepared. Sometimes in a world filled with chaos, one need to step back and enjoy the continuity that a restaurant like this gives. All is calm. All is bright. A wonderful experience, and we will be back.Google
Villa Mosconi is one of the remaining red sauce restaurants left in NYC. Such restaurants were ubiquitous at one time in NYC, but have in recent times become a dying breed. What you get at Villa Mosconi are things like elbow room, no bad tables, solid Italian food at reasonable prices, large portions, comfortable and relaxed meals. Also well-made and generous drinks. It’s the kind of Italian restaurant where you half-expect someone like John Gotti and associates to walk in. What’s not to like?OpenTable
